Forget Tesla Ultimate Sportscar is Electric Porsche 356 via Kiwibloke October 20th, 2009 at 16:39

image Jack Rickard has created what arguably is a more beautiful electric sports car than the press darling, the Tesla. This is a Beck 356 Speedster (replica Porsche 356) mated to a Netgain Warp 9 DC series electric motor. On Jack’s website (http://www.evtv.me) is an incredibly detailed discussion on electric car conversion including the first project,  the Beck Speedster and a second more comprehensive project, a 2009 Mini Clubman Sport. You can actually purchase the Speedster on ebay currently. You can see Jack’s Youtube Channel here. By the end of 2010 we could have five different electric vehicles to choose from. From the ubiquitous plug-in Prius Hybrid, to the Tesla, to the Mini EV and the Chevy Volt. Lotus has developed an external sound system for hybrid and electric cars. The problem they are solving is that these cars at low speed are too quiet for the visually impaired who use sound to guide them where cars are coming and when they have passed. This makes a Toyota Prius sound like it has [...]...

One of the big benefits of formula one racing cars roaring round Monaco is that they represent the state of art of vehicle technology. Many technology advances in braking, combustion and aerodynamics among others first arrive in Formula then move to high performance vehicles then to mainstream vehicles. The Kinetic Energy Recovery System (KERS) is one [...]...

The Chevy Volt’s PR campaign continues with ABC taking a look under the literal covers. My question is why did GM have to put themselves into this position that they need to make an electric hybrid in 4 short years.......
