Last night I went to McDonald’s to try their Mighty Ceasar with the 50% off coupon I found in my Lou Lou mag. While there the manager let me keep the card and informed me there is also a printable version! Now this printable version expires on July 13th, a bit earlier then the hard copy but can definitely save you a few bucks!
I was rather impressed with the Mighty Caesar with the crispy chicken. Surprisingly the parmesan was actual cheese and there was enough salad to share with a friend. Taste wise, I wouldn’t of guessed it to be from a fast food joint. Two thumbs up on this one.

McDonald’s in the United States first recalled Shrek glasses and now Canadian McDonald’s have followed. The recall is because of the cadmium in the paint. No word yet as to if there will be a refund for the $1.99 that consumers paid for these limited edition glasses but it is best that you stop using yours right away. I was sorry to read this as I thought they would be great to collect.

McDonalds is bringing back their $1 fountain drinks, from June 1 - Sept 6, 2010, you can get any size fountain drink for only $1, any time of day. Nice way to cool off in the warm weather.

Mcdonalds is celebrating Mchappy Day again, this year it’s on Wednesday, May 5th, 2010. One dollar from the sale of every Egg McMuffin sandwich, Happy Meal and Big Mac sandwich will be donated to Children’s charities in Canada. More than 1400 Mcdonalds locations are participating in it and lots of money gets donated, it’s definitely a good...... 
It looks like McDonalds Canada will be launching a new line of sandwiches/burgers: The McDonalds McMinis. The Mcdonalds Mcmini burgers will consist of a portion of grilled or cripsy seasoned chicken topped with pesto or Thai sauce on a mini baguette. They will be sold in pairs. 2 Mcdonalds Mcminis will cost $1.89 plus tax. Interestingly we’re the first country in the world to get the Mcdonalds Mcminis! We’re being used as the guinea pigs I guess .
I’m not sure how large these burgers will be nor have I tried them, so it’s hard to make up my opinion on them yet. But if they’re single bite burgers I’d rather stick to the yummy unhealthy value meals.
What are your thoughts on the Mcdonalds Mcminis? Will you be trying them out?

The McDonald’s Canada branch at Knight and 57th Avenue in Vancouver is having a special promo on Happy Meals. Happy Meals are $1.99 each until December 20th, 2009. And remember that you don’t have to be a kid to purchase a Happy Meal. You might need to smile though ;-)

The Free Small Coffee during breakfast hours is going to make a reappearance at a McDonald’s near you! This promo is running from November 16-29 at McDonald’s Restaurants across Canada. I never did get to take advantage of this deal last time the promotion was going on so I’m going to have to try harder this time. I actually like the new blend that McDonald’s is using for their coffee too, much better than whatever their old coffee was. I love free coffee!
Another thing to keep in mind with this promotion is that you can up size your small coffee and just pay the difference in price. So if you want a large instead you only pay the price difference (I think it’s like 30 cents or something).

McDonald’s Canada has a new online website that offers free printable coupons for discounts on their meals! The coupons are valid for 1 week from the day you’ve printed them. I noticed the coupons wouldn’t print properly in portrait so I recommend you setup your page to landscape.

I just bought a couple calendars at Mcdonalds in London, Ontario–they cost $3.01 with the taxes and have $25.00 + in coupons inside. The coupons are good for the Southwestern Ontario locations (listed on the front of the calendar). Nothing says you can’t use two coupons at once, so you can buy multiples. The proceeds go to the Ronald McDonald House, so it’s a great deal and a great charity! I imagine other parts of Canada have these too?
