image The Black Keys are returning to Vancouver for a show at the Orpheum this fall. We saw The Black Keys at the Commodore two years ago and it was one of the best shows I’ve been to. The amount of sound that comes from the two band members is unbelievable. My nostrils tickled, my head bobbed, and shot glasses vibrated right off high top tables as the music engulfed the entire audience. The group’s latest album Brothers will drop May 18th. Tickets for the concert happening October 3rd will go on sale this Friday May 7th at 10:00am through Ticketmaster and I highly recommend scooping yours up....

Delhi 2 Dublin Album Release Concert via Vancouver Blog Miss 604 April 29th, 2010 at 19:30

image Delhi 2 Dublin will be playing the fabulous Commodore Ballroom May 7th as they celebrate the launch of their new album, Planet Electric. I first heard the Bhangra / Celtic sound of Delhi 2 Dublin when strolling down Granville during Juno Fest 2009. The distinct pulsating melodies mixed with Dub Reggae and Electronica caught everyone’s attention as the tent hosting the group had the crowd spilling out from the street and onto the sidewalk. Since that time my friend Keira has become a big fan and already has her copy of the new album. She describes it as: “Slickly produced with a seamless flow, Delhi 2 Dublin’s latest effort is solid evidence that they’ve mastered their art of East-to-West fusion.” Photo credit: Kris Krug at SXSW Tickets for the Commodore show May...
